Optimization of drilling process variables using taguchi technique for LM6 aluminium alloy

چکیده

The abrasive characteristics of LM6 alloys are difficult to machine, so designing a technology that allows for effective machining is essential. This paper aims evaluate the effect process variables, namely feed rate, spindle speed and drill material, towards responses like Thrust force, Surface roughness burr height when drilling alloy. aluminium alloy was fabricated by stir casting process. Experiments were conducted using L 9 orthogonal array in Vertical Machining Centre coupled with dynamometer measuring thrust force. found tester measured Vision Measuring System. findings show created model can accurately estimate force (TF), surface (SR) (BH) within parameters examined.
